ILLUSTRATIVE DELIVERY EXAMPLE · SYNTHETIC DATA

  1. Source event
Loan fee received: event FLS-001, USD 100
  2. Validate & enrich
Check required fields; derive company, account and cost center
  3. Account
    Apply approved business-event accounting rules
  4. Reconcile
Compare received, accepted, rejected and posted populations
  5. Report & operate
Explain results, monitor exceptions and assign ownership

This simplified diagram shows control points, not a prescribed Workday configuration. Actual accounting treatment and rules require business approval.

Discover & design

Output: business objective, workflow boundary, mapping decisions, control matrix and open assumptions.

Acceptance: business and technology owners agree what success means.

Build & validate

Output: agreed changes, representative test scenarios, reconciliation results and exception evidence.

Acceptance: approved criteria met; unresolved items have owners.

Handover & improve

Output: operating runbook, monitoring responsibilities, recovery decisions and improvement backlog.

Acceptance: the operating team can explain and walk through the workflow.

How to use the worksheets

  1. Pick one workflow or interface; avoid trying to inventory everything at once.
  2. Assign a role to each decision and record the evidence behind it.
  3. Mark unknowns explicitly and turn them into discovery questions.
  4. Bring a high-level summary to your consultation if you would like help prioritizing.

These templates are general planning aids. They contain no client data or claims about previous client outcomes. Customize them for your own controls, governance and approved accounting policies.
